Anne Stahl was born in Germany in 1968 and lives and works in California and Berlin. Stahl studied Fine Art with a concentration in Painting and Printmaking, at the Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. Stahl continued to live and work in Dublin for 10 years, before moving to California in 2000.
Stahl’s interest in art was sparked by seeing the work of great contemporary painters and sculptors such as Joseph Beuys, Mark Rothko, Antonio Tapies, Andy Goldsworthy and others.
A sought-after artist on both sides of the Atlantic, Stahl’s dedication to her art, and to the natural world it springs from, is reflected in her painstaking technique, her subtle palette and her goal to inspire us to see Nature in a new light. As other critics have said. Her paintings really grow on you.
– Neil Collins
Stahl has exhibited her paintings at numerous solo and group shows in venues across Ireland, America and further afield. While maintaining strong links with Ireland, which she has represented nationally and internationally on many occasions, she works out of CorkStop Studios in San Luis Obispo County, California.
